My understanding is that the Fair Play league 'stops' at the end of April (I assume that as in May different European leagues finish on different dates).
Burnley's last game after today is Leicester at home which both teams will have to go at hammer and tongs for obvious reasons.
Malta away here we come!!!

PD.
Think it means the English league has to finish third out of the other European leagues in an overall fairplay league.

Cholo - right you are, I thought UEFA had already selected England, Ireland and Holland as the 3 countries, but I've not really followed this.
The rub here is that IMO there is more chance of fatty staying if we get into this by the back door.

Not sure if UEFA chosen leagues already.
I've got a feeling fatty will stay on anyway as they'll struggle to get anyone they feel is much better, hope I'm wrong.

So am I right in thinking the red card card is a double edged sword, as in it puts us above Burnley but adds one more to the Premier league.
Or an i just being a thicko here?

Might be right there but most important is to finish above Burnley anyway, anything else is a failure (if you're that bothered of course).

Re: Burnley fair play

San Fran - correct.
But on balance it's better for us as 1 red across a whole league won't have a huge effect, but 1 red for Burnley will make a big difference to our standing vs. them.
So far Burnley have 1 red and 3 separate yellows today.

Can't wait for Sam to take us into Europe. Still remember Metz.
Think it could help his chances of staying as too much upheaval to change manager and expect new one to hit the ground running in Europa early summer.
Top eight finish very possible and European football via the back door, three of the best new players I've seen in Cresswell, Kouyate and Sakho, wins against last season's top two, new deals for Tomkins, Reid and Noble...
Think we will all look back positively on this campaign come mid May.
